When you visit duplia.com, a small number of cookies quietly do their job in the background. This page explains which cookies we set, what each one is for, and how you can switch them off without hunting through browser menus.
The short version
We use a few cookies to keep the site working and to understand what's popular. You can turn the optional ones off at any time and we'll stop setting them. Refusing cookies doesn't stop you using the site. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny file your browser saves when you visit a site. Each one is unique to your browser and usually just holds an anonymous identifier so the site can recognise you between page loads (for example, keeping you signed in). Cookies can't run programs on your computer or deliver viruses.
The cookies we use
We sort the cookies we set into three categories. The first is always on; the other two are optional and only set if you've agreed to them.
Necessary
Keep the basics working: remembering you're signed in, routing you to the right server, and carrying over your cookie choices between pages.
For example: Login session, CSRF protection token.
Functionality
Remember the small preferences that make the site feel yours on return visits: things like your display name, postcode, or last selected plan.
For example: Your postcode from the coverage checker, UI preferences.
Analytical
Give us an aggregate sense of what's working: which pages people land on, which plans get clicked. No names, no emails, just numbers.
For example: Visit counts, page durations, scroll depth.
Your choice & how to change it
When you first arrive we'll ask whether you're happy with the optional cookies via a small banner. You can change your mind later by clearing this site's data in your browser. The banner will reappear on your next visit and you can pick again. We don't set any optional cookies before you've said yes.
Turning cookies off entirely
If you'd rather have no cookies at all (including the strictly necessary ones), you can block them through your browser's settings. Different browsers do this differently, but internetcookies.org has step-by-step instructions for all the common ones.
Heads up: blocking the necessary category can stop parts of the site from working, including sign-in and your cookie-banner preference itself.
